The Professional Networker, Your Online Resource for Expanding Business Relationships

The Professional Networker, Inc. Newsletter

July 23,  2006

Dear Member,

"If you have a good name, if you are right more often than you are wrong, if your children respect you, if your grandchildren are glad to see you, if your friends can count on you and you can count on them in time of trouble, if you can face your G-d and say "I have done my best," then you are a success." Ann Landers

What a powerful quotation! How many of us live by the words Ann Landers so eloquently spoke? We hear all the time about people that say, "I have 100's of friends." Do you?

My father, Ralph Tash, has always said, "If you go through life with at least one TRUE friend, you are blessed. Acquaintences are many in life, but true friendships take a lifetime to nuture. Your true friends will always be there for you." My father is a wise man and is blessed with a handful of friends.

Think about the people you surround yourself with.

  • Are they honest?
  • Do they have good moral values?
  • Do you respect them?
  • Do they respect you?

Those are the people I want in my referral network.

New Communication Tool - The Blog

Everyone has been telling me that I need to start a blog. Well, the first question was, "What is a blog?"

I have been a member of The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce for 8 months now, and one of the first people I met at the monthly Business Development Breakfasts was Dan Green

Dan and I have never really had a dance card, but I was impressed with his presentation of himself and his business at these monthly meetings. When I received an invitation to attend a free seminar on blogging sponsored by Feedburner I knew I had to attend.

I was totally lost. The language that was being used confused me so much I thought to myself, the heck with blogging. But, I am not a quitter. I like a challenge, and if I want something and I don't know how to do something, ASK FOR HELP!

I called Jake Parillo at Feedburner and he helped me over the phone install the software and has offered future help at Feedburner's offices right here in Chicago. Thanks to Dan, Jake and of course Kris & Kurt Schroeder I am blogging.

Please check daily for new dialogues that will be started. Respond or ask a new question. The idea is to keep the communication rolling between all GREAT networkers.

Check it out.
